I really liked the movie cause it shows how public school are really over crowded and alot of latinos and african american drop out of lausd. I also shows how smaller school the students will get more attention and the classes wont be overcrowded and students will have a chance and a futer to go to colledge.

QUESTIONS:1) Do you think the author really fell into holes in the sidwalk? What do you think the "holes" in this poem are a methaphor for? What kinds of "holes" have you fallen into in your life? The hole he said he fell that he cant get out of is like when you keep gatting into trouble and makes it hard to get out. Like me i've been into alot of trouble with the people I hang around with and i just makes it hard not to do it cause i've been getting into trouble since i was little.

2) When I first read this poem, I thought of what's happening to your grades. Some of you seem to be stuck in hole #2: your grades go down; you pretend you don't see it; you have "F"s again; you can't believe you're in the same place; you say it isn't your fault; it takes you forever to get out or you don't get out at all. Which hole are you in right now? Why do you think so? The hole i am in is my grades cause i always say i am going to get my grades up and i dont and i always end up in the same place. SO after my grades go so low it gets hard to get them caught up so thats my hole.

3) In terms of your grades, what do you have to do to reach step V and not fall into the hole of letting your grades drop? If you have already reached step V, how did you get there; and what advice can you give to the students who are stilling falling into "holes"? What i have to do is do my work and not fall behind and get help when i need it. I also have to start paying attention and stop fooling around.

I think what they did was a mistake and that they did realize what they did and that they were wrong. I think that they could have gave them an other chance cause they were both good poeple and both my friends. I think that they should have not of done the assembly cause i just started more problems with people. That people should think on what they are going to do and what will happen to them if they do that. I also think that we should not have any more assemblies cause they just start problems

A leader is a person that helps others to do right and a person that is a good influence. A good leader shows others to do right and to help others make better decisions. A bad leader is a person that does bad himself and doesn't help others and always in trouble. I have been a leader to my little brother because he follows me and want to do whatever i do so i have to do right around him to show him that you should not do bad things. I consider my dad a leader because he is like a big brother to me and i follow what he does and he does thing that i am sopossed to do and shows me the right things and also shows me the bad things so that i know what i shouldn't do

On thursday Danny Trajo came to talk to us about what the streets are really like and how hard it is if you dont stay in school. He talk to us on how hard his life was and how he likes to help people and talk to them on to stay off drugs and intertain them selves doing some thing else besides drugs. I think that students should start picking up there grades because they wouldn't want bad grades on there permanent record. I have bad grades and i have to start listing and doing my homework. so that's why i agree with what you say.

I have never hurt myself like that because i dont do dumb stuff like that. i really cant do anything but to tell them to stop doing thing like that. I agree with what you said because it is dumb what they are doing and it really hurts them because they dont know what they are doing. They dont know what damage its doing to there head and there body.

I Think that my grades are not ok. I think they are kind of bad. A way that i can improve my grades i to make up my work and work harder to complete all my assignments. My grades at this school is kind fo better then last years grades that i had. I dont think my grades where were unfair I was my fault i got what i got. I really dont think anything about comments about school work.

My idea is that the election thing isn't a good idea because they still wont let us get we want. The teachers will not like what we want so thats why there is no use in having a president or anything else. Mr Chang idea i think is to make us get what we want to make us happy but we probably get what we want. If we choose for a president we should choose the one that will be serious about what they want to do and if they want to help us.
